what you've been reading lately

Today's photo is of what I have been reading. With a lot of my life going negatively, this book reminds me that I also have a lot in my life that is positive. I'm not much of a reader, but this book is something that I crave reading, for it makes my day brighter and my loads lighter. Here's to May 16th.

"love"

Even though it's technically the 16th because of the wee hour at which I'm posting this, I still consider it the 15th. So, here's the photo of the day:
The subject for today was supposed to be of love. But this is where love has taken me one too many times, and where I have found myself just an hour ago. On my bedroom floor, emotionally exhausted, and wondering where my faith has gone, where my hope in happiness and simplicity is at, if one day I won't have to hurt anymore. A bit dramatic, yes, but what's a girl to do in a time such as mine?
I have not the energy nor the patience to explain.
May 15th can kiss my butt.

grass

I have an excuse for skipping so many days of photo-taking, I swear. Okay, maybe I don't. But I did enjoy my trip up north full of relaxing and hangin' with the family. I even got a free photoshoot out of my trip :) (thanks macquel). I'm sure those pictures will be all over my facebook soon; I can't wait to see how they turned out!
Anyway, today's picture is pretty self explanitory. It's grass. That's all.

Oh! And happiest birthday to this kid here:

These past five months with you have truly changed me. It's been an extrodinary ride with you by my side, and I hope that I get to stay on board for many more birthdays to come. Happy birthday, Josh.
Here's to May 14th.

something you do every day

Today's photo is supposed to be of something I do every day. And considering I like to, you know, live, I took a picture of a meal. Because I eat everyday.
Whenever I come home to Sandy, I always have to go to a resturaunt called "Barbacoa" at least three times during my stay. It's not even that great, (except for their rice) but it's safe to say that I'm addicted.
And the Starbucks in the back ground? Don't be judgin'. I have cramps. So I'm allowed.
Here's to May 9th.

a smell you adore

A smell that I adore? Well, today that smell is home.
I am lost. I am a wayward traveler. I have gotten swept up in my new life, and I have forgotten some of my fundamental core traits, and that saddens me unlike any other thing I have ever gone through. Lonliness takes on a whole new meaning when you're even without yourself.
So today, on a whim, I packed my bags and drove four hours north to see people and surroundings that I never have to question. Here, I am solid. I remember what I am about and I plan to find who I need to be this next week. Now that school is out I need to take the time to figure out who I am again. I need to get in touch with my Heavenly Father again and remind myself that He is all I need, and His way will make me happiest. I have been selfish, and I am now realizing it.
And so, I am home. Here's to May 8th.

someone who inspires you

Wow. I apologize for my negligence (spelling?), I had a CRAZY weekend full of adventures:

As Josh and I were riding in the car on our way to Zion, I asked him

"Can we just be adventurers?"
He looked over at me and beamed. "Did you really just say that?" "Yes..." I said. "All I've ever wanted to find is a woman that would just go on adventures with me." "Well then I'm your lady."
But that's not what this post is about today. Today's post/photo is about someone who inspires me. And who better to take a picture of a picture of than Taylor Allison Swift.
Just look at her in all of her glory. Here's to May 7th.

Fun

The 4th of May's photo is titled "fun". I'm sure they probably meant "take a picture of yourself doing something fun" but you know... I like to push the boundaries.
I LOVE this band. If you don't know who they are, you've been living under a rock. Here, let me enlighten you:

And there you go. Here's to May 4th.
Oh and congrats to Joshua Arden Kitchen for graduating from Dixie State with his well-earned Bachelor's degree. Yay! :)
